About the Executive Ethics Officer

Dr. William O'Hara is the Executive Ethics Officer at Roger Williams Medical Center. He is responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of the Ethics Compliance Program. Dr. O'Hara, who is President Emeritus of Bryant University, serves the University as the Henry Loeb Jacobs Trustee Professor and is the executive director of its Institute for Family Enterprise. He teaches, consults and writes extensively on family business, ethics, corporate governance, and business negotiation and conflict resolution.
His community work includes membership on the board of trustees at Trinity College (CT) and Roger Williams University, and the NCAA President's Commission. In addition he has serves as chairman of Leadership Rhode Island, head of the Governor's Ethics Task Force, charter chairman of the Rhode Island Independent Higher Education Association, and charter president of the Northeast Ten Athletic Association. He also has extensive experience in implementing strategic planning systems in academic and non profit organizations.
