In December, The Blood and Marrow Transplant Program received designation as a full transplantation center from the National Marrow Donor Program.
A. Samer Al-Homsi, MD, Chief of the Division of Hematological Malignancies and Blood and Marrow Transplantion, has been appointed for 3 years to the editorial board in Experimental Hematology, the official journal for the International Society of Experimental Hematology starting in January, 2010.
Cannon Milani, MD, 3rd year Hematology & Medical Oncology fellow, will be presenting in February 2010 at the Annual American Society of Blood and Marrow Transplantation Meeting in Florida titled: Isolated Epstein-Barr Virus-Induced Central Nervous System Post-Transplantation Lymphoproliferative Disorder Despite Negative Serum PCR. In addition to Dr. Milani the abstract is co-authored by Tara Roy, NP, Jenna Pojani, NP, Paula Welch, NP, Hande Tuncer, MD and A. Samer Al-Homsi, MD.
