Surgical Oncology Fellowship Program

Welcome

Thank you for your interest in the Society of Surgical Oncology (SSO) Fellowship at the Roger Williams Medical Center. This website contains information about our educational program, faculty, staff, and immunology research laboratory. All five of our specialists completed Surgical Oncology fellowships, with two trained at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and three here at Roger Williams. In fact, we are the largest group of specialty-trained Surgical Oncologists in Rhode Island. We emphasize the multidisciplinary management of complex upper abdominal malignancies. In addition, we have dedicated programs for breast and head and neck cancers. Roger Williams also serves as a regional referral center for soft tissue sarcoma. There are opportunities for research fellowships in our basic science laboratory. Interested candidates are referred to the SSO web site and our administrative office (401-456-2464).

Sincerely,

N. Joseph Espat, MD
