At
Roger Williams Medical Center, we provide nurses with an environment
that allows them to grow and treat patients the right way. Our goal
is to become a Center of Excellence for Nursing. There are a number
of favorable factors that will help us reach this goal: a strong
dedication to high quality, a competent and motivated staff, clinical
nurse managers who are devoted to the staff and patients, and excellent
relationships between nurses and physicians.
The
Adele R. Decof Cancer Center at Roger Williams offers the best in
care for cancer patients. Roger Williams is also home to the state's
only Bone Marrow Transplant Unit and the state's only Center for
Stem Cell Biology.

"I
started at Roger Williams in 1979 as a staff nurse in the Operating
Room. The hospital is smaller, which means there is the potential
to give better care here. It's much easier to target a problem and
resolve it. Roger Williams has an environment where nurses can truly
excel."
Darlene Dunphy, RN
Manager of Operating Room/Ambulatory Surgery/PACU
