Nurses
thrive at Roger Williams because we have created a supportive environment
where the wellness of patients and their families remains our top
priority. Working together has allowed us to maintain the level
of excellence our community expects.
Roger
Williams Medical Center has begun a two-year process of seeking
Magnet Recognition, the highest level of recognition by the American
Nurses Credentialing Center. This prestigious designation recognizes
excellence in nursing services and demonstrates the importance of
nurses throughout the hospital. If awarded, our nursing program
will join the ranks of America's best.
By
sharing your ideas, innovative practices and examples of great teamwork,
we'll achieve this goal together. Here's how you can help:
-
Provide examples of interdisciplinary, team decision-making regarding
a patient's concern
- Provide
an example of a care plan that was developed using an interdisciplinary
approach
- Provide
an example of how an interdisciplinary policy was developed
- Provide
an example of a Performance Improvement activity done in collaboration
with nursing
- Provide
information on community projects
- Provide
a sample of communications that have facilitated interdepartmental
communications to ensure seamless patient care
All
hospital employees are encouraged to share information or stories
that provide a way to document and support our achievement of the
Magnet Standards. Information can be provided to the Magnet Project
Coordinator, Mary Ann Palazini, RN, 401-456-2023.
