Bernard Zimmermann, MD
Bernard Zimmermann, MD
Graduated from Harvard College and the West Virginia University School of Medicine and completed his medical and rheumatology training at the Roger Williams Medical Center.
Since then he has been an active member of the faculty. He has published articles on various topics including septic arthritis, spondyloarthropathy, and gout, and lectures frequently on many rheumatologic topics. He lives in Rhode Island with his family, enjoys sailing and windsurfing, and plays basketball weekly with residents and fellows.


Edward V. Lally, MD
Edward V. Lally, MD
Graduated from Brown University and received his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine training at the Boston City Hospital and was a rheumatology fellow at the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Lally has authored or co-authored over 40 articles in peer-reviewed journals as well as numerous book chapters and review articles. He is nationally known for his research and publications on scleroderma and related disorders. He lectures frequently on connective tissue disorders and is actively involved in the fellowship in both the outpatient and consultation services.


Stuart T. Schwartz, MD
Graduated from Duke University and UMDNJ-Rutgers Medical School. He completed his medical training at Rhode Island Hospital and Rheumatology Fellowship in the Roger Williams Medical Center Program.
In addition to his busy practice at Rhode Island Hospital, he is an active teacher at the Brown Medical School as well as the medical residency at Rhode Island Hospital, and is a key member of the rheumatology faculty. He has published and lectured on osteoarthritis, crystal diseases, and vasculitis among other topics. Dr. Schwartz enjoys water sports with his two children


Nuha Said, MD
Nuha Said, MD
Graduated from the University of Jordan Medical School in 1995. She completed Internal Medicine Residency at Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island and Rheumatology fellowship at Roger Williams Medical Center.
Prior to joining the academic faculty at Roger Williams, she was a staff rheumatologist at the Lahey Clinic in Massachusetts. She has particular interest in rheumatoid arthritis and inflammatory myopathies, and truly enjoys clinical teaching. Her recreational activities include gardening, reading and spending time with her son.


Harald Alexander Hall, MD
Harald Alexander Hall, MD
Graduated from Cornell University and the Chicago Medical School. He completed his medicine residency and fellowship at Roger Williams Medical Center in 2005 and then joined the academic rheumatology faculty.
His academic pursuits have resulted in several publications in the area of inflammatory myopathy. He enjoys windsurfing, skiing, and playing with his three young children.


Kerri Batra, MD
Kerri Batra, MD
Kerri Batra, MD was an undergraduate at Amherst College and earned a medical degree from the University of Massachusetts Medical School.
She was a resident in Internal Medicine at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and completed a 3-year fellowship at the Brigham and Women's Hospital where she was involved in researching rheumatoid lung disease. Dr Batra has developed the Rhode Island Hospital rheumatology office at 2 Dudley Street into a participating member of the CORRONA database, which will offer significant opportunities for the fellows and faculty to participate in research in rheumatoid arthritis. She and her husband Ajay spend most of their off-duty hours raising their two young daughters.


Anthony Reginato, PhD, MD
Anthony Reginato, PhD, MD
Is the newest member of the rheumatology faculty. Dr Reginato received both his PhD degree in anatomy and structural biology and medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
He completed his Internal Medicine training at Yale-New Haven Hospital and rheumatology fellowship at the Massachusetts General Hospital. After completing his rheumatology training, he joined the faculty in the Division of Rheumatology at MGH. He brings a wealth of experience in teaching and research in the areas of cartilage biology, crystal diseases and application of musculoskeletal ultrasound to rheumatic diseases to the program. He has particular clinical interest in diagnostic imaging in early rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and crystal diseases. In his spare time he enjoys hiking, cooking, gardening and playing soccer with his son.
