(2008-2010) Completed medical residency and was a Chief Medical Resident at the University of Connecticut Health Center in Farmington, CT.
During residency she participated in research in fibromyalgia, depression and disability. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and chasing after her 1-year old daughter.

Sam Poon, MD
(2008-2010) Trained in Internal Medicine at Rhode Island Hospital and worked for one year as a hospitalist at Norwood Hospital before returning to become the second Brown University Rheumatology Fellow.
Sam is developing research in the role of vitamin D in rheumatic disease. He and his wife enjoy kayaking in New England waterways.

Nazli R. Conway, MD
(2008-2010) Received her medical degree from the University Of South Florida College Of Medicine, and graduated from the Brown Internal Medicine Residency at Rhode Island Hospital.
Her husband is a pediatrician who has recently joined a busy practice in Rhode Island.  Nazli is studying the diagnostic value of anti-CCP testing in rheumatic diseases.

Crisostomo (Jong) Baliog, MD
(2009-2011) Graduated from the University of the Philippines Medical School, and completed his medical residency at Roger Williams Medical Center.
He is planning research in gout and hyperuricemia in obesity. He is interested in computer technology, and is a talented singer and guitarist.

Elisabeth (Lissa) Matson, DO
(2009-2011) Is a graduate of the University Of New England College Of Osteopathic Medicine, and completed medical residency at the University of Massachusetts in Worcester.
She is interested in immunologic aspects of rheumatic disease. Her recreational activities include swimming, music and travel.
